Seventeen year-old Ahmed Isleem, a Palestinian high school student from Azzoun village in Qalqilya,


 Qalqilya에 있는 Azzoun마을에서 팔레스타인 고등학교 학생인 17살의 Ahmed Isleem은,


was kept by the Israeli authorities in Jalameh interrogation center for close to forty consecutive days during which he was beaten on his entire body, including his head;


 Jalameh에서 이스라엘 당국의 취조센터에서 40일 가깝게 계속적으로 머리를 포함한 그의 몸 전체를 구타당했다.


intimidated and subjected to verbal abuse; threatened with rape and killing; deprived from sleep through physically and mentally exhausting interrogation sessions reaching at times 12 hours; and exposed to collaborators’ violence.


욕설로 위협당하고, 복종을 강요당했으며, 약탈과 죽음으로 두려움에 떨었다. 잠을 자지 않게 하는 것을 통해 12시간동안 정신적으로, 육체적으로 고단한 취조 시간을 가졌다. 또한, 점령군 협력자의 폭행에 노출되었다.


The Israeli interrogators accused Ahmed and two of his friends of firing at Israeli settlers on two different occasions.


이스라엘의 심문자는 Ahmed와 그의 친구 두 명에게 이스라엘 정착촌에서 있었던 다른 두 차례의 종교의식에서의 폭발 혐의를 씌웠다.


Despite the torture and ill-treatment, for twenty days Ahmed consistently denied all accusations against him and maintained his version of events: he and his friends were hunting for small spotted birds with a gun made of pipes that they collected in their hometown of Azzoun.

The Israeli interrogation police however consistently refused to take into consideration the boy’s account.

On the twentieth day following Ahmed’s arrest, the interrogators tied Ahmed to a mattress with both his legs and arms chained to his cell’s wall. He was held in this position for nine consecutive days. On the ninth day of the stress position, Ahmed eventually signed a statement in which he confessed to the accusations.


Ahmed가 체포되어있는 20일 째 되는 날, 그 심문자들은 Ahmed를 메트리스에 그의 두팔과 두 다리를 묶고, 그의 독방 벽에 묶었다. 그는 9일 동안 그 위치에 똑같이 수감되었다.

However, in an affidavit given to Addameer attorney Samer Sam’an, Ahmed insists that he only confessed because the pain was unbearable. He still denies the charges against him. At no point during his interrogation was Ahmed accompanied by his parents or his legal counsel.


그러나 ‘Addameer attorney Samer Sam’an‘에게 주어진 진술서에는 Ahmed가 단지 그 고통을 참을 수 없었기에 고백한 것이라고 주장했다. 아직도 그는 취조자들의 주장에 대해 그 혐의를 부인하고 있다. 요점도 없이 그를 취조하는 동안에 Ahmed는 그의 부모 또는 그의 변호사와 함께 동반했다.


Ahmed was in his final grade in high school and was studying for the Tawjihi, or final matriculation exam, prior to his arrest. Ahmed is currently being tried on charges of firing a weapon.
