이 세상은 마귀의 세상일까요?


우리는

하나님 나라가 이 세상을 위해 예정된 것이 아니라는 생각에

익숙해져 버렸습니다.

이 세상은 마귀의 세상이며,

하나님 나라는 선한 사람들이 죽으면

하나님이 데리고 가실 다른 어떤 영역이라고 생각하는 것입니다.

그렇다면 하나님 나라가 임하도록 기도하는 것이

무슨 소용이 있겠습니까?

그리스도인의 하나님, 그리스도께서 증거 하신 전능하신 사랑의 아버지,

이 세상을 권능으로 붙들고 계신 그분은

이 세상의 고통과 불행을 보고서도,

능력 있는 사람이 좌절하고 생명이 위축당하며

마음이 긴장되고 상하는 것을 보고서도,

평화와 사랑과 풍요와 행복의 나라를 가져다주지 않으려는

괴물과 같은 신일까요?

We have become accustomed to think

that God’s kingdom is not intended for this world;

that, virtually, this is the devil’s world,

and that God’s kingdom is in some other sphere,

to which He is to take good people when they die.

If that be so,

what is the use of praying for the coming of the kingdom?

Is God - the Christian’s God, the Almighty, the loving Father of whom Christ told -

is He such a monster as a god of that kind would be;

a god who looks on this world,

sees its sufferings and its miseries,

sees high faculties aborted,

lives stunted,

innocence turned to vice and crime,

and heartstrings strained and broken,

yet having it in his power, will not bring that kingdom of peace,

and love, and plenty, and happiness?
